Nowhere Kitchen happened thanks through the participation of many.

TOO MANY COOKS…

an old proverb

Acknowledgments

Bayanihan is a term in the Tagalog language that refers to the organic way of how people help each other in times of need. For example, when a typhoon sweeps houses away, neighbors would activate themselves and help each other rebuild. Without any predisposed budget and its somewhat precarious nature, Nowhere Kitchen became a fluid space for collabs and each experience somehow became an organic piece of bayanihan, where people who were present helped in animating and feeding the context.

Special thanks to the following people for sharing their precious creative time and voluntary contribution that helped Nowhere Kitchen grow and evolve:

Luter Filho, creative input and logo design; Ayumi Saito, creative input and performance; Marie Capesius, creative input, moral support, kitchen work and documentation; Danilo Timm, kitchen work, management support and creative input; Rita Couto, documentation; Kathrin Kuna, event coordination; Glenda Sino-Cruz, management support; Hiroki Mitsuboshi, documentation; Bruno Granja, moral support, kitchen work; Nino Kovac, creative input and documentation support; and to many others who shared their work to document the process.

and to many more who formed part of the Nowhere Kitchen transient fellowship

Nowhere Kitchen as an open platform, space for play and nomadic project attracted many bodies who were so enthusiastic to this ‘new’ approach of cooking that it became for them a space for experimentation as well. Thanks to them, each Nowhere Kitchen itineration became a sort of fellowship or an free school. Special shout out to you for sharing the labor of cooking, for collaborating with your own artistry and offering their expertise. Special thanks for the camaraderie and all the best to your own personal journeys.
